Obituary of Dorothy Blank
Dorothy passed away peacefully at the hospice house surrounded by family on Sunday March 1st, 2020. Dorothy was born to Eva And William Bower on July 30th, 1940 in Worland Wyoming. She grew up with sisters Loree, Helen and brother Clarence. Dorothy moved to Bellingham with 2 of her daughters in 1983 and she started working for DIS corporation on 1987. She then retired from DIS in 2001. Dorothy always taught her children and grandchildren that family was the most important thing, and her family meant everything to her. Dorothy was strong willed and independent and was so passionate about the things she loved. She always encouraged those around her to pursue their dreams and do what makes them happy. Dorothy enjoyed painting ceramics, sewing, cooking with her family but most importantly she loved spending time with her grandchildren. Dorothy is survived by her 5 children: Michael, Dan, Kimberley, Tammy and Terri, Grandchildren: Russell, Michaela, Zachary, Kelsey, Kylie, Dyllan, Randy Jo, Teal, Tyler and Mason, And Great Grandchildren: Zayn and Dawson (on the way), Kingston, Z, Natalie, Ella and Evelyn. We would like to give a big thanks to the hospice house, they are the most incredible people who do amazing work and helped us a lot. Memorial donations can be made to Whatcom Hospice.
