






Obituary of John Joseph Cox
John J. Cox, died peacefully at his home in Bellingham, WA on December 25, 2018, surrounded by family and friends after a short but courageous battle with cancer. He was born on February 3, 1962 to Corrine and Darylee Cox. He was preceded in death by his grandmother Sylvia Jenne, his mother and father and his brother Randy Bronemann. He is survived by his children Vanessa and Dylan Cox (and their mother Karen) and Christopher Feathers as well as his companion and caregiver Cindy Thomas. Surviving siblings include: Greg (Ginger) Bronemann, Robert Bronemann, Larry (Barb) Jenne, Mike (Pam) Cox and Shelly (Kimble) Hovde-Lukenbil as well as his niece and nephews and step dad Don (Paula) Hovde. John attended Sehome High School, Whatcom Community College and graduated from Western Washington University with a degree in Urban and Regional Planning. John was the proud owner of Bullseye Construction. He enjoyed camping, water and snow skiing and especially his favorite pastime boating with family and friends. A celebration of life will be on Sunday, February 3, 2019 from 10am-3pm at Squalicum Boathouse in Bellingham, WA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the John Cox fund at your local Key Bank to help his children with expenses.
