Birgit Margareta Buchanan passed away on February 15, 2019 after a long fight with Multiple Myeloma cancer.
Birgit was 56 years old.
Birgit was born on June 9, 1962 in Arroyo Grande, California to Henry and Judy Westman.
Having her father in the Air Force, she traveled and moved frequently.
She spent her elementary and middle school years in North Carolina, New Jersey, and Christchurch, New Zealand.
She attended Hirschi High school in Wichita Falls, Texas.
Birgit is survived by her husband Jesse Jacklin, her seven children; Marsha Silva (Jesse), Lisa Buchanan, Clayton Buchanan, Ana Hall, Marissa Hall, Sarah Jacklin, and Samuel Jacklin, her seven grandchildren; Tre Silva, Jordan Silva, Kailey Silva, Abigail Buchanan, Caden Buchanan, Cameron Buchanan, and Kyden Buchanan, her parents; Henry and Judy Westman, and siblings; Henry Westman Jr. (Jill), Ed Westman (Debbie), Tina Loomer (Kent), Thomas Westman (Melissa), Michael Westman (Heather) and Alvin Westman.
Birgit is preceded in death by her grandparents; Eric and Birgit Westman, Woodrow and Bertha Parsons, mother in law; Betty Buchanan, and niece and nephew; Tim and Tammy Hinojosa.
Birgit was long known for her unselfish love, always putting others before herself, and she was all about her grandchildren and children.
She was a lover of finding that great deal at garage sales or consignment stores.
She loved camping and spending time at the lake.
She will be greatly missed and we look forward to seeing her again, meanwhile we will cherish all the moments we had with her.
A celebration of life will be held in the summer.
