It is with great sadness that the family of Carole A. Ecob (nee Zymkiewicz) of Lynden Washington announces her passing on 07-15-18, after a courageous battle with brain cancer. Carole will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 20 years, Richard Coit. Carole and Rich shared 28 years together and their lives consisted of numerous vacations around the world, enjoying nature in CA and WA, music, entertaining friends and family in their home, their church and cooking together. Carole will also be fondly remembered by her two brothers: Kirk (Tammy) Zymkiewicz of Urbana IL, and Phillip (Leslie) Zymkiewicz of Sacramento CA; nieces: Aryn Zymkie of Urbana IL and Jayme (Eric) Hoeft of Delavan IL; two great nephews Wyatt and Ryan Hoeft of Delavan IL; Aunt Rosemary Devine and family of Chicago IL; brother-in-law Roger Coit of Champaign IL, and many relatives throughout the U.S. Carole was preceded in death by her parents Alex and Gertrude Zymkiewicz of Sacramento CA (formerly of Chicago IL). Carole will also be forever remembered by her friendships in Chicago IL, Truckee CA and Lynden WA.
Loyalty, patience, understanding, wisdom, decency, compassion, reliability, dignity, and respect: these are all qualities that Carole not only held in high esteem, but practiced every day during her time on this Earth and will live on with her family and many friends forever.
A memorial service in memory of Carole will be held on Friday 08-03-18 at 1:00pm, with a reception immediately following at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 2530 Cornwall Avenue, Bellingham WA Pastor Cara Tanis officiating.
